The neighborhood of Key Biscayne has a welcoming and laid-back island vibe. The residents enjoy some of the best views in South Florida. Locals are active and spend time kayaking, boating, paddle boarding, fishing, and snorkeling in the beautiful clear water. The island’s lush and inviting parks provide the perfect setting for long walks, sports activities, nature hikes, and family picnics. The island is small and walkable, so residents walk, bike, or ride golf carts to local shops, restaurants, and markets. Many of the area’s residents commute to jobs in downtown Miami or Brickell, just a short drive away on the mainland.

Key Biscayne is a quiet island that offers excellent upscale dining options. Many of the restaurants have fantastic waterfront views and outdoor dining patios. Kazumi provides a menu of fine Japanese cuisine in a stylish modern setting. Novecento has a warm and welcoming ambiance and serves fresh hand-made Italian pasta, Argentinean specialties, fabulous cocktails, and an extensive wine list. 
 
Costa Med is an intimate and elegant bistro specializing in a unique Mediterranean cuisine menu featuring seafood, lamb, and pasta. One of the most iconic restaurants in Key Biscayne is the Rusty Pelican, with a sophisticated waterfront dining experience. Their specialties include local seafood and American cuisine. Another Key Biscayne landmark is the Piononos bakery, famous for its incredible freshly made pastries, cakes, and confections.
 
There are several shopping centers and boutiques on Key Biscayne, including Boho Brands, The Arcade Mall, Key Colony Plaza, Nouba Boutique, and Pretty Boutique. Additional upscale shops are located across the causeway in Brickell and downtown Miami. 
 
Key Biscayne’s most iconic grocery store is the Golden Hog. This unique market has a bakery and deli specializing in imported cheese, caviar, desserts, chocolates, and unique food items and products. 

Things to Do

There are many things to do in Key Biscayne, starting with the fantastic parks, beaches, and green spaces just steps from your door. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park features spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. For even better views, residents can climb to the top of the Cape Florida Lighthouse. There are guided tours, hiking and biking trails, and picturesque spots for kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating.  
 
Crandon Park, on the northern end of the island, offers residents golf, tennis, eco-adventures, and a fabulous beach. There’s also a nature center, trails, cabanas, picnic shelters, a marina, and a boardwalk. 
 
Take a walk or bike across the causeway on the Rickenbacker Bridge, where you will see incredible views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. For kayaking and paddleboarding adventures amid unparalleled natural beauty, visit Biscayne National Park. Here, residents can spend the day exploring the mangrove canals and the lovely Jones Lagoon. 
 
Key Biscayne is also the site of the annual Miami International Boat Show, where over 1,000 vendors display the newest boats, yachts, and pleasure craft technology.
